Chairman Nguyen Van Tri works with the Management Board of Industrial Parks

In the afternoon of 8/23/2017, comrade Nguyen Van Tri, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee worked with the Management Board of Industrial Parks on carrying out its tasks in the last time. Attending the meeting, there were also representatives of related departments in the province.

According to the development planning of industrial parks in the province up to 2020 approved by the Prime Minister, now Vinh Phuc has 18 industrial parks in 5,228 hectares. Until now, there are 12 infrastructure development projects in 11 industrial parks which have been established and granted the investment certificates with a total planned land of ​​over 2,300 hectares, in which, the industrial land of more than 1,660 hectares, the industrial land of the compensation, clearance of nearly 770 hectares. In the first 8 months of 2017, the industrial parks in the province has attracted 19 new FDI projects and 25 projects increasing the investment capital with a total registered investment capital of over USD 232 million; 2 new DDI projects and a DDI project increasing the capital with a total registered investment capital of nearly VND 400 billion. Up to now, there are 213 valid projects in the province, including 42 DDI projects with a total investment capital of nearly VND 15 trillion and 171 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly USD 2.7 billion. Despite of many efforts, over time, there are still limits in investment attraction promotion and implementation of projects; investment in developing industrial parks; the labor management and housing development for industrial park workers; the policy, mechanism and the reform of administrative procedures that has led to many difficulties in investment attraction and industrial development in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, the delegates discussed many issues related to the functions and tasks of the Management Board of industrial parks; the difficulties and obstacles in the process of investing and developing industrial parks; the construction of housing and cultural institutions for workers in industrial parks; the mechanisms, policies and orientations for development of IPs in the future, in the context of comparing Vinh Phuc's competitive advantages with other provinces in the Red River delta.
