Report on the planning and investment construction of workers' housing

On July 19th, 2017, Mr. Vu Chi Giang, Provincial Commissioner, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting with the Department of Construction and investors on the planning and investment construction of workers' housing and institutions serving workers in Industrial Parks (IPs) in the province.

Up to now, Vinh Phuc has 11/19 IPs approved by the Prime Minister and granted the investment certificates; 7 of them are in operation. In the end of 2016, the industrial parks created jobs for 72,772 employees, 14,300 of who are in need of accommodation, mainly in Khai Quang Industrial Park and Binh Xuyen Industrial Park.

To meet the demand for housing of workers, now, Vinh Phuc has planned to build houses for workers at five areas in Binh Xuyen district, including the housing area for workers in Ba Hien commune, with the scale of 34,7hectares; Housing area for workers and public service works in Binh Xuyen Industrial Park II, with an area of ​​9.9 hectares; Housing area for workers in Ba Hien commune of Minh Duc Printing Company; The housing area for workers in Huong Canh town, with the scale of 10 hectares and housing area for workers in Rung Cuong village, Thien Ke commune with the scale of 11.06 hectares. In addition to the above areas, there are seven enterprises have proposed investment to build housing for workers including: Patron Vina Co., Ltd; Lam Vien Vinh Phuc Co., Ltd; Strongway Vinh Phuc Company Limited; Cosmos Technology Co., Ltd; Jingtong Vietnam Company Limited; Bang Joo Electronics Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Garment Manufacturing Company.

Particularly in Phuc Yen town, up to now, the town has planned and spent land to build the workers' housing area, adjacent to Phuc Yen IP under the planning project of C2 subdivision, with an area of about 10 hectares at Phuc Thang Ward.
