Commenting the draft Law on Tourism (revised)

In the afternoon of April 17th, 2017, the provincial delegation of XIV National Assembly held the conference on taking ideas on the draft Law on Tourism (revised). Mr. Tran Van Tien, member of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the provincial delegation of XIV National Assembly chaired the conference.

The draft Law on Tourism (revised) consists of 9 chapters, 83 articles on tourism documentaries, tourism products and tourism activities; rights and obligations of individuals and organizations in tourism or other activities relating to tourism and the State management on tourism. Discussing on the draft Law, the delegates agreed that the drafting, promulgation of the Law on Tourism (revised) was necessary; ensuring the constitutionality, legality and consistency in the legal system of the State... The delegates also focused on clarifying some contents relating to the rights and obligations of individuals and organizations in tourism business, State management on tourism ...

At the conference, some delegates suggested that the draft law should: adjust, add the layout and some words, languages, names on the draft law; the articles 10 - 13 of Chapter II on tourists should pay more attention to ensure the interests and safety of domestic and international tourists visiting Vietnam and tourists going abroad; It was not necessary to regulate about tourist urban; listing prices of goods, services and rules of tourist accommodation establishments should be publized for tourists to understand and state agencies should have strict management policies; add the regime to the traveler's book and report the business of tourist accommodation. In Article 22, Chapter IV on the rights and obligations of the organizations and individuals managing the tourist areas, the delegates also agreed that it was necessary to supplement and change the phrase "obligations" into "responsibilities"; investment, support policy for tourism development; management of tourist business establishments with non-voluntary registeration for business;

Based on the comments, Mr. Tran Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the provincial delegation of XIV National Assembly would report to the National Assembly in the next session.
